.:: about me ::.
Traci Wilson
I have always had a passion for art and design. One of the earliest
Christmas gifts that I can recall receiving must have been at the
age of five or six. It was a small, blue watercolour set made by
Rowney containing five blocks of paint, a palette in the lid and a
paintbrush. It was well loved and very well used! I went on to study
Art for four years after school and emerged as a contemporary
jeweller. I have had many happy years designing and making jewellery
of all descriptions, in fact spent seven years producing tiaras for
the bridal industry. I also went back to University to up my
training to teaching standard (secondary school design and
technology level).
It wasn't until I had my first tattoo that I discovered my passion
for this job. I designed my own; in fact I spent six months
developing it. I was captivated by the act, the artistry involved,
the whole experience, and from then on my life has changed. I design
and sell my own flash sheets, I constantly draw designs for my
customers, I paint whenever the chances arise (which unfortunately
are not as often as I would like), and I love my job.
I'm still a jeweller....I adorn the human body, only the jewellery I
make now stays for a lifetime.
